I’m a 21 year old programmer living in Phoenix, Arizona. I am an alumni with a Bachelors in Software Engineering from the University of Advancing Technology(UAT). I currently work as a web developer at UAT, helping manage the websites the university hosts and developing new software.
My interests include programming, movies, games, reading, and generally all the things geeks do. In my spare time I am working on expanding my knowledge of math in programming by writing up math algorithms in C++ and working towards applying them to a vertical shooter game. Generally these are the things I enjoy, but if the opportunity arises to go out and have a good time, all the better.
I went to UAT right out of high school with no knowledge of programming at all, but a decent knowledge of computers having built them, repaired, and used them. I enjoyed computers and loved playing games, so I set my major for Game Programming since I knew I couldn’t draw. After taking some programming classes and gaining some insight, I changed to just Software Engineering since I wanted to do all kinds of programming, not just for games.
I don’t pretend to be an expert in any of the topics I post on this blog, but simply try to present my knowledge, experience, and possible solutions to the issues. Hopefully if someone in a similar situation could get an idea from one of my posts and find their own solution, that would be great.
Also, I am all for learning something new. So if you have an alternative solution, comment, optimization, idea, by all means, post it. Keeping that knowledge locked away doesn’t help and potentially means it could be lost to those that come after.
